GTN’s Michigan Virtual Counseling Team
Hello Friends
We are so excited to share that we have formed our Michigan Virtual Counseling Team! Simply put, we are hiring Professional Counselors (or equivalent license) throughout the state of Michigan to provide mental health services to clients through our secure telehealth platform.
Bringing Therapy To You
Our goal is to offer intentional, effective professional counseling that meets people where they are, without sacrificing quality or connection (that also pays therapists what they are worth!). We’ve seen the gaps in mental health access firsthand, especially for folks in rural communities, as well as the less than ideal pay for virtual providers through larger organizations. We know the barriers, and it’s time we create some solutions.
Our Michigan Virtual Counseling Team model is transforming tele-health therapy. It’s more than connecting clients to therapists, it’s about creating a thriving community of providers.
Counselors Finding Connection
Offering therapy is one thing, but being part of a team of professional counselors who seek consultation, guidance, and honest support from one another to improve their craft, that’s something special. Counselors joining this team are drawn to the heartbeat of Grounded Therapy Network. This is deeper than virtual counseling. We are developing a collaborative team of therapists who encourage and support each other. The profession of talk therapy can be isolating and lonely, especially when working virtually or at home.
We prioritize support opportunities for our team because when counselors are cared for, clients benefit. As a counselor, my ability to serve you well depends on having a trusted circle for feedback, fresh ideas, and professional growth. That’s how we stay sharp, grounded, and ready to do good work by you.
Recreation Therapy’s Impact
Our Recreation Therapy programming across Michigan has helped establish the name Grounded Therapy Network and deepen our connection to the communities we serve. Through these programs, we’ve built trust, fostered resilience, and created opportunities for people to engage in healing in ways that go beyond traditional talk therapy.
The Michigan Virtual Counseling Team is the next step in that journey. We are expanding through our Recreation Therapy connections to provide counseling to all the communities which we already serve, ensuring that mental health support is accessible in every place our Recreation Therapy programs have made an impact.
