Our Services

Finding the Right Support

Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, strengths, challenges, and hopes for the future. At Grounded Therapy Network, we believe those differences matter.

We offer two distinct services—Counseling and Recreational Therapy—through a network of independent professionals serving individuals and families across Michigan. Each service offers its own approach, but both begin with understanding the person, recognizing their strengths, and identifying what they hope to accomplish.

Whether you're exploring services for yourself, someone in your family, or an individual you support professionally, we're here to help you understand your options and take the next step.

Counseling

A Place to Talk, Reflect, and Move Forward

Sometimes life brings questions that are difficult to answer on your own. Counseling offers an opportunity to explore your experiences, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and work through challenges with the support of a trained professional.

Counseling can help individuals and families navigate relationships, manage stress, adjust to changes, develop coping strategies, and gain a greater understanding of themselves.

Our independent counselors bring their own professional backgrounds, areas of expertise, and therapeutic approaches to their work. This allows us to consider individual needs and preferences when exploring available services.

Recreational Therapy

Building Skills Through Meaningful Experiences

Recreational Therapy takes a different approach to personal growth. Rather than focusing primarily on conversation, it uses purposeful activities, personal interests, and real-world experiences to help individuals work toward therapeutic goals.

Depending on the person's needs, recreational therapy may involve developing social skills, building confidence, increasing independence, exploring leisure interests, or learning to participate more fully in everyday activities.

Activities are selected with intention. Whether practicing a new skill, participating in a community activity, or discovering an interest, the experience becomes an opportunity to learn, grow, and apply skills beyond the therapy session.

Not Sure Where to Start?

You don't need to know exactly which service is right for you before reaching out. Our administrative team can help you understand the differences between Counseling and Recreational Therapy, discuss current service availability, and explain the inquiry process.
